Baking without eggs and dairy can seem daunting at first, but it needn't be, in fact it is often easier to make a vegan cake than a dairy based equivalent.
From pastries and doughs to sticky puddings and cakes, join us for a delicious day of all things sweet.
We will give you top tips on how to replace eggs and dairy in your recipes, showing you how to make the lightest sponge cakes and luxurious treats. We will introduce you to aquafaba, flax and chia batters and show you how to make vegan meringues.
Learn some fundamental techniques and recipes that will enable you to go home feeling confident about making a whole variety of different vegan bakes.
We will make recipes such as:
- Almond Amaretti
- Sticky Toffee Pudding
- Cinnamon Rolls
- Orange and Almond Cake
- Raspberry Frangipane
- Aquafaba Meringues
- Chocolate Mousse
- Chocolate Chia Brownie
We will also focus on great flavour combinations and variations and chefs tips to save time and increase your confidence in the kitchen.
The course involves a mixture of demonstrations and hands-on cookery, and is led by our experienced chef tutors who can answer all of your vegan baking questions.
Our chefs will make a soup and salad for lunch to help counteract all the sugar! There will be lots of sweet treats to take home so please bring some plastic containers with you. You will leave with a comprehensive recipe pack.
