Mezze is a term which refers to small dishes which are traditionally served across the Mediterranean and Middle East. The cuisine of the Middle East is a delight for vegetarians; zesty dips, aromatic roasted vegetables with sumac and spiced flatbreads, all using the best seasonal vegetables and herbs.
Drawing from the cuisines of Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, and Syria whose simple, fresh and healthy foods are a delight to make and eat throughout the year, on this evening you'll learn to create a delicious vegetarian mezze of your own. Throughout the class we'll make dishes such as:
You'll learn how to use traditional spices herbs and flavours from the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The class is a mixture of demonstration and some hands on participation.
You will finish the evening with a shared mezze of everything we have cooked, with specially selected organic wine or fruit juice. You will be given a recipe file of all the dishes made so you can recreate them at home.
